To the Volta Region
The road east, past roadside markets and the lake. Arrival in the highlands and an unhurried afternoon.
Day 2
Tafi Atome at first light
The monkeys are most active early. A community guide, an hour among the mona monkeys, and the story of how the sanctuary came to exist. Afternoon: weaving and craft.

Hills, then home

Good to know
The sanctuary is community-owned; visitor fees fund the village directly. Light walking on uneven ground. Long sleeves recommended at dawn.
